'I am always supporting you, so lean on Me as you struggle, fearing nothing. Take the vessel of trust and draw from the fountain of life - for yourself,
but also for other souls,
especially such as are distrustful of My goodness.'
Jesus to St. Faustina, Diary of a Soul #1488
Painting: William Adolphe Bouguereau, Pendant l'Orage 1872
The colors and textures and patterns are so lovely. And her hands and expression!! Thank you for this post and the words of Jesus to Faustina...may we never forget our faith is to be a sharing and a reaching out to love our neighbor-- in whatever guise.
These are consoling words from Jesus and they bring me hope for those who are still far away from God. Our prayers are never wasted and we can obtain great graces for others. Thanks, Nancy!
Thank you, friends! Yes, prayer is never wasted, thanks be to God! I liked the expression in this painting also; I thought she could be one distrustful of God's goodness.. and then the more I looked at her, I realized she could be the prayer-er as well.
Beautiful.

DeleteIt's what I needed also Nancy. Thanks for this reminder :-)
