'O Lord, I run to the spring; I desire the source of the water.
In You is the fountain of life, an inexhaustible source;
in Your light there is a light which will never be darkened...
Seeing this light, my eye grows keener.
Drinking from this fountain,
my inner thirst becomes more acute.
I run to the fountain,
panting for its water.....
I run like a deer...'
St. Augustine

Oh to be able to express oneself so well!
ReplyDeleteI love those green moss covered rocks.
:) Hope
I've found a number of "atmospheric" paintings by this artist. And St. Augustine was pretty amazing :) !
DeleteBeautiful painting, beautiful words.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patti.
DeleteOh amen! Let's run together..always! xx
ReplyDeleteAmen, Trish. To Jesus, the Fountain :) !
Delete4 am vigils! I'm sure those are particularly awe inspiring. The two monasteries I've retreated at are ones where they do not have that.... they begin their day around 6. But being able to pray in choir stalls with the nuns, all throughout the day, has been such a memorable privilege. Thank you, Colleen!
ReplyDeleteJust found your beautiful blog. I can't help but be inspired by your wonderful quotes and photos. God bless, dear!
