Looking back, I see in my own life that even though I received gifts from the Holy Spirit at age 13, I didn't develop them until I experienced enough in life to shape them (a work in progress.) When I was in my 20's, I always questioned why I didn't use these gifts in a more perfected manner, hadn't these gifts come from the Holy Spirit perfect already? But now I see these gifts are perfect, yes, but it is up to the individual will to shape and mold and use them the way God wants us to. Always always a work in progress our hearts and minds are a work in progress.
ReplyDeletePatty, what a wonderful insight.... that His gifts come, perfect, but it's up to (imperfect) us to use them the way God wants us to. I'll be thinking about this today!
