That's because we think we can 'control' them...but snipping only produces a tidier growth for the short term..them you have to snip again! And even if you attack with an axe and think you have got all the roots out..you sometimes find regrowth rearing it's ugly head when you least expect it! We can't rely just on our own efforts and willpower to be rid of these faults...it's got to be done through the help of the Holy Spirit. This is what I find in my own experience...
