Oh that painting feels like this time of year around here. And as the nights are now so long this quote from St John of the Cross is consoling on so many levels of our being. I will hold onto this through this season. Love that hazy, misty moon and mystical moonlight! Thank you for sharing Nancy....it brightens my dark mornings.....God Bless.
I loved this painting as soon a I saw it. And of course the quote! I love being able to hare such things... thank you for being there to share them WITH.
I need to remind myself of this more often. You know, when something major happens, like the passing of my father 8 years ago, I could grasp this much better. Yet, why is it that I fail to grasp it, let alone remember it, when the little trials come along? I am definitely a work in progress ;)
The long night will some day be over and the joy of morning will once again warm the soul..the heart will awaken to see the Light which was merely hidden by the very nearness of God.
