    The painting is very interesting. Is that a large cushion the woman is leaning on? In the shape of a heart? Even if I'm not seeing the painting properly, that heart certainly jumps out at me. How appropriate to remember, when we feel surrounded by such darkness, that God loves us so very much.

    1. Sue, your questions are the same as my own. I don't normally use pictures I'm not fairly "sure" about, but I was quite struck by this one. Especially by the heart shape, which jumped out at me also. I cannot imagine that being accidental - surely the artist intended it to look just that way!
