'Try to remember that nothing is too small to offer to Him - that is, the tiniest act of self-conquest is of immense value in his eyes, and even lifting one's eyes as an act of love brings great grace.' (Father William Doyle)
Painting: George Dunlop Leslie
Such comforting words.
ReplyDeleteI find them comforting too, Deborah. Thanks!
DeleteJust "lifting one's eyes as an act of love..." Powerful. Brings to mind Mother Teresa's "doing small things with great love." So true. That apple pastry she is making looks good!
ReplyDeleteIt does look good, doesn't it? And she looks so serene as she happily peels the fruit. She looks exactly like she's doing a small thing with great love.
